Herb Alpert Net Worth $850 Million Dollars

Herb is likely most well-known musically for founding the group “Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass”. To be able to get this trademark sound, Herb overdubbed his trumpet on two tape machines. The group’s album “Whipped Cream and Other Delights” was the number one record of 1965 and stayed in the billboard charts for over 3 years. Herb Alpert would continue to release 28 records, of which five were number one hits, 14 went platinum and 15 went gold. To date, Herb has won eight Grammys as well as in total has sold more than 75 million records globally.

Within the next 25 years, A&M records, would grow into the biggest independent record company on the planet. A&M signed future stars such as Janet Jackson, Sheryl Crow, The Police and The Carpenters. Herb and Jerry stayed to handle the joined label for five more years. In 1998, Herb and Jerry sued PolyGram and won an added $200 million payout.
