He spent one successful season at Georgia Tech, before leaving school to play in the NBA. Nevertheless, he was traded to the Memphis Grizzlies in early 2008. After playing for the Grizzlies at under a year, he was traded to the Washington Wizards. His contract with all the team was subsequently broken up. He signed with the Charlotte Bobcats, but was released less than a month afterwards, and after trying to play in China using the Zhejiang Guangsha Lions, he returned to America to play for the Dakota Wizards in the D League. In 2011, he was detained for the homicide of a young woman who had been hit when Mr. Crittenton supposedly shot at someone who’d robbed him.

Police allege that Crittenton was actually shooting at a man Jones was walking with whom he thought had stolen jewelry from him. He has denied any involvement.
