She majored in Drama and Psychology and was a part of the improve comedy group, “Said and Done.” After leaving school, Dratch was a part of the cast of The Second City Comedy Troupe for four years. Through that time, she performed alongside future SNL head writers Adam McKay and Tina Fey, in addition to future 30 Rock star, Scott Adsit. Dratch met her boyfriend, John Wahl, a California-based adviser in the natural food industry, in a pub in 2009. Six months later she became pregnant, and gave birth to a son named Eli in 2010.
