Shane Patrick Victorino was produced on November 30, 1980 in Wailuku, Hawaii. Victorino’s dad was a Maui County councilman and Shane grew on the Pacific isle playing baseball, football and track and field. For another year or two, Victorino was back in the minor leagues playing for the Dodgers was chosen by the Philadelphia Phillies late in 2004. Although Victorino returned to the minor league after joining the Phillies organization, shortly he’d turn into a full time major leaguer when he replaced Bobby Abreu in 2006, finally becoming the team’s center fielder.
